FAQ

  • Is Pilates or Personal Training better for beginners?

Why choose? A blend of Pilates and traditional strength training will give anyone new to working out a solid foundation that will teach proper form, improve mobility, and build strength.

Starting a fitness routine can be intimidating but it doesn’t have to be! We all start somewhere and a well-rounded foundation is the perfect kickstart to achieving your goals!

  • Isn’t Pilates just for people who are injured? I’m healthy!

Pilates is great for injuries and it is great for healthy bodies.

Adding a Pilates practice to your fitness routine will improve your posture, core stability, and overall body awareness which will only compliment any other workouts you are doing.

Whether or not you’re dealing with an injury, Pilates will build strength to prevent any future issues and help you rebuild strength after any injuries have occurred.

  • Why do I need a trainer? I can just do workouts on YouTube.

You absolutely can. There is a ton of information online that makes working out by yourself easier than ever.

The simplest reason to work with a trainer is that they are there for YOU. They understand your goals and your injuries and tailor a program just for YOU, instead of a general audience whose needs and experience level are likely very different from yours.

  • How do virtual sessions work? Do I need to buy equipment? How much space do I need?

Virtual sessions offer the most flexibility for anyone with a hectic schedule looking to to establish a better fitness routine.

While it can be more fun to incorporate props and weights, you only really need yourself and a workout mat to get started! Things like weights, resistance bands, and even larger Pilates equipment are all great but entirely unnecessary in getting a good workout. And as long as you have room for a workout mat, you’ve got enough space!

  • Do you offer classes? I prefer working out with other people instead of one-on-one.

I don’t currently offer any open classes but…

Did you and your workout buddies favorite weekly class get cancelled? Do you like the idea of a group workout but want to make sure the session is focused on your goals?

A private class might be the answer! Private classes are available virtually, in the gym in your building, or even in your home. You’ll get the best of both worlds: a group environment full of people you love and a workout specifically tailored to your group’s goals and needs.

  • Why should I work with you and not another trainer?

I’ve always thought that finding a trainer is a lot like dating. You should click with your trainer and not dread going to your workouts.

If anything on my page sounds like what you’re looking for or even if it just made you curious, set up a consultation call and we can talk about how we can work together on your fitness goals!
